Two Arua Police Officers in trouble for aiding escape of notorious suspects.

Two Police Officers identified as Sgt Justo Wadri and Cpl Richard Kilama, attached to Oluko Police Post in Ayivu west Division, Arua city have been arrested after some unknown criminals reportedly broke into the cell, freed two notorious suspects before making off with two motorcycles under their watch.
The February 19, 2025, incident occured at around 1;00 Am at Oluko police post, Amvua cell, Ombokolo ward, Ayivu East division, Arua City.
According to the Police, the suspects reportedly freed were Anguyo Owen charged of shop break in and theft and Yoyo Benard , charged with stealing cattle.
The West Nile regional Police Spokesperson SP Collins Asea confirmed the arrest of the two Police officers in a statement, adding that the thugs reportedly made off with two motorcycles Registration No. UEB 260K and another unregistered Bajaj Boxer impounded following an accident.
"the incident led to the arrest of two officers i.e. 41484 Sgt Wadri justo and 53771 cpl kilama Richard who were on duty by the time of incident on the above reference as investigation on the incident continues" Asea's statement reads in part.
He added " the unknown thieves also went with two motorcycles Registration Number UEB 260k belonging to No:53771 cpl kilama Richard Jairo police officer and another Number less Bajaj boxer an exhibit which got involved in an accident"
The February 19, 2025 incident has been registered under CRB:035/2025.
