In a bid to rally votes for President Yoweri Museveni Kaguta in the forthcoming election scheduled for 15th January 2026, the Patriotic League of Uganda PLU has categorically appointed Marshel Alenyo as one of the campaign mobilization member for President Museveni in Pakwach district.

The appointment of Alenyo was officially communicated by Patriotic League of Uganda [PLU], [Tuko Pamoja] on 21st October 2025, addressed to the National Resistance Movement [NRM] and Director Resistance Movement [NRM] Introducing [PLU] mobilization structures.

According to the letter, he was appointed with other members for a role in Pakwach district; Signed by Micheal Nuwangira Kaguta Toyota, National Vice Chairman Patriotic League of Uganda [PLU].

“I bring you greetings from the Patriotic league of Uganda Secretariat. Thank you for the efforts thus far rendered in the campaign trail of our party chairman and flagbearer HE. President Yoweri Kaguta Museveni.” The letter reads in Part

“Reference is made to the initial efforts established with our mobilization team under the code name; “Tuko Pamoja” with the sole purpose of re-enforcing the efforts of the NRM secretariat in achieving a big success in the upcoming elections”. The letter further stressed.

Adding that the PLU coordinators as per the different sub-regions are a formidable and committed force that will greatly add value to the mobilization team of the Party.

Speaking to Zoomer Africa, Alenyo embraced this task and assured commitment for the victory of president Museveni in Pakwach district especially among his large youth followers.

Alenyo Marshall is a renowned lawyer in Uganda and owns “Advocate at Marshall and law” associates. 

He recently expressed interest in contesting for Jonam county MP seat but withdrew From the race.

He is a strong mobilizer for the PLU in Jonam County, Pakwach District, alongside Denis Oryem Olyeku, the Padyere County MP nominee in Nebbi District, and Okwaimungu Steven of Zombo, all in the greater Nebbi.

He has been involved in a number of activities including boosting sports by organizing ‘Alenyo Memorial Cup’, a tournament that brought huge numbers of football lovers and well-wishers.
