Thousands of Alur Kingdom subjects today thronged Kyambogo university playgrounds in Paidha town council, Zombo district for the 15th coronation anniversary of Alur King His Royal Highness Phillip Olarker Rauni III.

The event is celebrated annually bringing Alur subjects from DR Congo and Bunyoro kingdom where the Alur people stay including Acholi, Buganda region and elsewhere.

Earlier, the Prime Minister (Jadipu) Alur Kingdom Prince Lawrence Angala Opar requested the ministry of internal affairs to allow the entry of the Alur from Mahagi territory for the occasion.This year event is under the theme: “Alur culture for wealth creation”

Among the guests are the chairperson of the Uganda Kings and Cultural Leaders Forum Isabaruli Mwogezi Butamanya the King of Buruli who doubled as the Chief Guest and officials from the ministry of gender labor and social development.
