Territorial police in Nebbi District are investigating two suspects arrested during a joint intelligence-led operation on 19th June 2026 for being in possession of military and government stores.

According to SSP Josephine Angucia, the West Nile Regional Police Spokesperson, the operation was conducted by a combined team comprising Police, UPDF (SFC), ISO, DIS, and local leaders in Nebbi Municipality.

Angucia said Upon searching the residence of Obedgiu Isaac and another suspect identified only as Cosmas, authorities recovered assorted military and government items, including binoculars, handcuffs, military footwear, marijuana, and other stores.

“The two are being investigated and upon sanctioning their case file, they will be taken to court to answer to the charge of being in possession of military/government stores,” Angucia said.

Police have urged the general public to continue sharing information on suspected criminals and their unlawful activities to enable arrests and prosecutions, thereby maintaining sanity in communities.
