A Baby Coach bus traveling from Kampala to Arua experienced a single-vehicle road traffic crash in Vulu Vulu village, Ulagu Parish, Padwot Sub-County, Nebbi District.

The Wednesday, July 9, 2025 incident occurred in the early morning hours when the bus veered off the roadway and came to rest on its side.

The LCIII chairperson of Padwot Sub-County, Denis Opio, confirmed the crash, stating that "no fatalities were reported, but several passengers sustained injuries and were promptly transported to nearby health facilities for treatment."

Images circulating on social media depict the Bus positioned off the roadway, with visible damage to the front windshield.

The Uganda Police Force has yet to issue an official statement regarding the crash, and investigations into the cause are ongoing.

This incident follows another recent crash involving a Baby Coach bus in Nwoya District, raising concerns about road safety for public transport vehicles.

According to the Uganda Police Force’s Annual Crime Report for 2024, road traffic crashes increased by 6.4%, with 25,107 incidents recorded compared to 23,608 in 2023. Fatal crashes rose by 6.1%, totaling 4,434, and resulted in 5,144 fatalities, a 7% increase from 4,806 in 2023, translating to approximately 14 deaths daily.
