The Alur music scene and beyond are reeling from the tragic loss of iconic artist and media personality Willy Musoke, known to fans as Willy Paa Nyatesu International, who passed away on the morning of Tuesday, July 29, 2025.

The news has sparked an outpouring of tributes and discussions across social media platforms in the Alur Sub-region and further afield.

Based in Paidha Town Council, the celebrated performer was a household name, not only for his music but also for his vibrant presence in the media world in the late 90s and early 2000s.

Musoke also had a brief stint at Paidha FM before making waves at Radio North FM in the Lango Sub-region, cementing his status as a multifaceted entertainer.

According to Innocent Godfred Onega, the LCIII chairperson of Paidha Town Council and a close relative, the star, believed to be in his 40s, tragically passed away due to undisclosed medical complications while en route to Goli Health Centre IV for treatment.

"We are devastated by the loss of our brother," Onega shared. "He was an icon in our community, and his passing leaves a huge void."

The cause of Musoke’s complications remains unknown, Onega added.

A farewell for the legend is set for Wednesday, July 30, 2025, at 1:00 PM at Jupalango, Zingili Ward, Paidha Town Council, Zombo District, as confirmed by Onega.

Radio legend Slot Wolenga reflected on Musoke’s impact, noting his prominence in the music industry during the late 1990s and early 2000s.

Known for chart-topping hits like Adimudong and Ngamudongu Ngom Calu UJANGA, a track dedicated to former Okoro County MP and State Minister for Energy, Eng. Simon D'Ujanga, Musoke’s music resonated deeply with fans.

In recent years, the artist transitioned into the entertainment business, launching Quarter Guard, a buzzing entertainment hub along Ofaka Road in Paidha Town Council.

The venue became a go-to spot for live performances and events, showcasing Musoke’s passion for uplifting local talent.

Burial arrangements are underway, with the central organizing committee convening at Quarter Guard. 

By press time, hundreds, including members of the business community, relatives, and fans, had gathered at the venue to plan a fitting send-off for the beloved star.

Many Local entertainers notably fron Paidha town council say , the legacy of Willy Paa Nyatesu International will live  on through his music, media contributions, and the vibrant entertainment scene he helped foster.
