Kiryandongo : His Royal Highness (Dabanda I) Odong David Ateenyi, the revered cultural sovereign of the Paluo-Chope chiefdom, has summoned his subjects to fortify their bonds of solidarity while ardently backing key government prosperity programs to uplift household fortunes across Kiryandongo District.

Delivered through the esteemed Chiefdom Prime Minister, Mr. Kisembo Denis Atwooki, during a ceremonial gathering at the Chiefdom Cultural Head Offices in Katulikire, Kichwabugingo Sub-County, on October 3, the Dabanda's proclamation lauded the enduring unity among Paluo-Chope subjects and neighboring communities, crediting it for the district's rising population and swift strides in communal advancement.

He implored his people not to rest but deepen their collective resolve and industrious spirit to forge even brighter paths for all residents.

"We must all resist people who seek to divide us in all forms by all means because united we stand and divided we fall," proclaimed Dabanda I, invoking the sacred proverb of ancestral resilience that echoes through Paluo-Chope history.

He further urged his subjects to embody and exalt the vibrant tapestry of their cultural heritage, its rituals, values, and traditions as beacons of inspiration, setting exemplary standards wherever they tread.

At the heart of his rallying cry lay a strong call to align with the visionary blueprints of the National Resistance Movement (NRM) government.

Dabanda I mobilized his subjects to wholeheartedly embrace initiatives like Emyooga, the grassroots savings and credit cooperative fostering entrepreneurial zeal, and the Parish Development Model (PDM), the decentralized engine of wealth creation designed to empower every parish with tailored economic lifelines.

"These sacred tools of progress," he emphasized via Mr. Atwooki, "are the bridges to transforming our livelihoods, swelling household incomes, and weaving prosperity into the fabric of our daily lives."

In a gesture of profound gratitude, the cultural sovereign extended heartfelt commendations to His Excellency Gen. Yoweri Kaguta Museveni, President of the Republic of Uganda, for his stewardship that honors Uganda's diverse cultural tapestries with equity and reverence.

He also saluted the NRM-led administration's tangible achievements for Kiryandongo, spotlighting transformative milestones such as the Kimogoro Sugar Factory in Mutunda Sub-County, a bastion of agro-industrial revival and the 600MW Karuma Hydropower Project in Karuma Town Council.

These endeavors, he noted, have birthed myriad employment havens, especially for the district's vibrant youth, while invigorating trade corridors that ripple prosperity far beyond local horizons.

Echoing the sovereign's mantle of stewardship, Mr. Damot Tela Adyeri, Speaker of the Paluo-Chope Cultural Institution, seized the forum to champion the enlightenment of the next generation, particularly imploring the district's citizens to prioritize education for the girl child as a cornerstone of enduring legacy and communal elevation.
