Nathan Nandala Mafabi, the presidential candidate of Forum for Democratic Change [FDC] has blatantly accused president Museveni government for orchestrating "Injustice, Poverty and greed".

While for his campaign rally in Paidha town council, Zombo district on Sunday, the FDC stalwart wowed the people who turned –up for his rally as he concluded his rallies in the West Nile region.

He attributed the soaring poverty in West Nile as a deliberate tactic by the regime to weaken the population.

“Poverty has escalated due to this government.” Nandala alluded

Adding that it’s a deliberate move to make people poor and bringing money lenders to the West Nile region with 20% interest loan.

“My government will establish an agricultural bank to support farmers which will be at zero percent interest”.

He also criticized government programs such as Emyooga, Operation Wealth Creation [OWC], Parish development Model [PDM] etcetera, claiming that if he is voted as president he will revamp Cooperative Unions, and that every village will be receiving Ugx 100 million for five years as poverty alleviation mechanism.

Nandala further blamed the government for failing to control middlemen from cheating coffee farmers saying in Mbale a kilogram of Coffee is sold at Ugx 18000 while in West Nile it's only Ugx 14000.

Talking about Social Assistance Grants for Empowerment [SAGE]; he says all Ugandans from 60-year above will receive Ugx 60000 monthly and that there shall be proper compensations to ex-combatants.

He expressed concern over negligence by the government for creating wide salary disparities which has frustrated arts teachers.

He says the government has maintained exorbitant taxes on goods and services observing that citizens are feeling the pinch.
