In a heartfelt farewell sermon rooted in Sacred Scripture, Rev. Isaac Rwothomio, the outgoing Parish Priest of Paidha Town Parish in the Church of Uganda Goli Central Archdeaconry, Nebbi Diocese, has called upon the faithful to shun baseless accusations against church shepherds and instead pursue Godly dialogue, emphasizing its divine benefits for fostering reconciliation, spiritual maturity, and the building up of Christ's Body.

Preaching from 1 Peter 4:7-8 , "The end of all things is at hand; therefore be self-controlled and sober-minded for the sake of your prayers. Above all, keep loving one another earnestly, since love covers a multitude of sins" , Rev. Rwothomio reminded the congregation that deep love, expressed through open and prayerful dialogue among believers and leaders, covers offenses, heals divisions, and draws the flock closer to the Throne of Grace.

"Brethren in Christ," he proclaimed, "leaders come and leaders go, as stewards of the mysteries of God. We came to proclaim the undiluted Gospel without partiality. Let us embrace dialogue in the spirit of humility, for it promotes forgiveness, restores brotherhood, and guards against the snares of backbiting and disunity that grieve the Holy Spirit."

Rev. Rwothomio, who served the newly established parish for four years after his transfer from Papoga Parish in 2022, highlighted the blessings of dialogue which strengthens the communion of saints, empowers youth to take their rightful place in ministry without resorting to gossip, and enables the church to overcome trials through wisdom granted by the Almighty.

He urged church elders and committees to grant space for young believers, noting that inclusive dialogue prevents youthful discontent and cultivates a generation rooted in the fear of the Lord.

The Reverend's wife, in her emotional farewell address, called for enduring love and unity among the Christians of Paidha Town Parish.

 "Stand firm on the foundation laid in Christ," she said "for unity in the Body yields continual spiritual fruit and tangible blessings from our Heavenly Father."

Reflecting on challenges faced, including opposition and discord among some members, Rev. Rwothomio gave glory to God for granting victory through prayer and perseverance.

He mobilized continued support for ongoing projects, such as the pastor's residence and renovations, praising the faithful for their generous tithes and offerings, which he described as "sacrifices pleasing to the Lord" fueling the parish's growth.

Congregants responded with tearful tributes, affirming the fruits of dialogue and reconciliation under his shepherding.

Catechist Jimmy Bidong of the English service commended the Reverend's leadership, urging the flock to "forsake accusations and walk in the path of Godly conversation, that peace may abound."

Congregant Oyenthboth Christine, moved to tears, praised Rev. Rwothomio for his spiritual nourishment, calling for mutual forgiveness. "As love covers a multitude of sins, let us seek reconciliation in Christ."

Elder Anecho Bernard promised sustained development, while English service chairperson Beatrice Namusisi declared that God had used the Reverend to "tear down walls of division," assuring the parish of his ongoing prayerful counsel.

As Rev. Rwothomio departs for further studies, he encouraged the faithful to "love God above all, remain clear-minded, and love one another fervently," premised on the eternal principle of agape love.
