‎Police and relatives of Amos Chandimale 33, the Adjumani district NRM registrar have commenced search after he reportedly apparently disappeared a couple of days ago.

‎Chandimale is a residence of Ringa village, Ajugepi Parish, Dzaipi Sub-County, Adjumani District.

‎He was last seen on 17/01/2026, and the wife stated to police that she last spoke with her husband by phone on 16/01/2026 at around 0600 hours while he was still within Adjumani District.

‎Adjumani district police has confirmed that the wife of Chandimale reported the incident of disappearance of her husband on 20. 01. 2026.

‎Adding that a case file for disappearance has been opened at Adjumani Police Station, vide CRB 045/2026.

‎SP Collins Asea, the North West Nile region police spokesperson revealed, statements have been collected from close relatives, and information has been circulated to relatives in Kampala to aid in the ongoing search.

‎A Wireless Transmission (W/T) has been sent to Genepool and other relevant agencies.

‎SP Asea added that efforts to recover the victim are ongoing in collaboration with the NRM office in Adjumani District, relatives and relevant authorities.

‎"We appeal to the public for any information related to this incident to be reported to the nearest police station." He explained in a statement
