After his graduation, Okethwengu said in an interview that his qualifications will help him advance transparency, patriotism and accountability and above all fight public corruption that continues to eat society in his area.
"As a member of the Patriotic League of Uganda (PLU), I remain dedicated to advancing the values of patriotism, integrity, transparency, and accountability," Okethwengu said.
He added: "Corruption continues to undermine service delivery, weaken public institutions, and hinder socio-economic transformation."
The Patriotic League of Uganda, a group affiliated to the First Son and Chief of Defence Forces General Muhoozi Kainerugaba, is making inroads across Uganda's political space with many viewing it as the coming power holders in the country.
According to Okethwengu, the conferment of a qualification in Public Administration and Management marks a significant milestone in his academic and leadership journey, reinforcing his commitment to ethical public service, accountable governance, and the fight against corruption in Uganda.
"This achievement is the culmination of years of hard work, perseverance, and determination. Beyond earning an academic qualification, it reflects a deep commitment to acquiring the knowledge and practical skills required to contribute meaningfully to national development and effective public administration," he said.
Okethwengu celebrated this important milestone, expressing sincere gratitude to his family, mentors, lecturers, colleagues, and friends whose encouragement and support made this achievement possible.
He said graduation is not the destination but the beginning of a greater responsibility to serve with integrity, humility, and excellence.
The PLU Mobilizer expressed commitment to contributing to Uganda's development by promoting accountable leadership, supporting anti-corruption initiatives, and working towards a public service that delivers efficiently, fairly, and transparently for all citizens.
Henry Uwinji, another PLU Mobilizer in Zombo, congratulated him upon his graduation.
