Prominent Paidha businessman Jesse Okweda dies

Jesse Okweda, a well-known businessman from Paidha Town Council in Zombo District, has died.
Okweda, the proprietor and director of Paidha Model Nursery and Primary School, passed away at Mulago Hospital.
A close family member confirmed the death, stating: “Oh yes, we lost Muzee Jesse this morning in Mulago Hospital.”
In a statement released by the school, the Board of Governors, management, staff, pupils and the entire fraternity expressed profound shock and deep sorrow over the untimely demise of their director.
“Director Jesse was a visionary leader, a father to many, and a pillar of our school community. His dedication to education and his selfless service will forever remain in our hearts,” the statement read. “We extend our heartfelt condolences to his family, relatives, friends and all those who knew him. May his soul rest in eternal peace.”
The leadership of the Paidha Elders Forum, an association of elders in Paidha Town Council where Okweda served as chairperson, also confirmed the news.
He was additionally a member of the Greater Nebbi Elders Council.
Condolence messages have poured in online, with many expressing deep shock at the passing of the respected community figure.
