A man was sitting in a hotel and said to another person:
"This boy who works here is so foolish that if I place a 500 note and a 50 note in front of him, he’ll always pick the 50. Watch."
He then called the boy, placed both notes in front of him, and said,
“Pick the note with the higher value.”
The boy picked the 50, and both men laughed loudly, while the boy went back to his work.
Another person sitting nearby called the boy and asked,
“You’re old enough — don’t you know the difference between 500 and 50?”
The boy smiled and replied,
“That man often brings someone to show them how ‘foolish’ I am. I keep picking the 50, they enjoy themselves, and I get 50 rupees. But the day I pick the 500 note, the game will end — and so will my income.”
*Life is like that game — not every situation needs you to act smart. When acting smart ruins your own happiness or benefits, sometimes pretending to be unaware is the smartest move.*
