Wendi Agent Re-Arrested Over Alleged Misappropriation of UGX 7 Million PDM Funds.
Zombo District, June 30, 2026 Innocent Olama, a Wendi Agent, has been re-arrested over allegations of diverting UGX 7 million intended for the Parish Development Model (PDM) to settle a personal bank loan in Paidha.
According to information from the Office of the Resident District Commissioner (RDC) for Zombo District, Olama was taken back into custody on June 30, 2026, after previously being arrested on June 4, 2026. He had later been granted bail by the Paidha Magistrate's Court, reportedly after paying UGX 1 million to two PDM beneficiaries.
The re-arrest was ordered by the Zombo RDC, Ayikobua Festus, who said the action was in line with the President's directive on the protection and recovery of funds under the Parish Development Model.
Authorities confirmed that the suspect has been returned to Paidha Central Police Station, where he is expected to face further legal and administrative proceedings.
Officials also indicated that efforts to recover the allegedly misappropriated UGX 7 million are ongoing, with the matter expected to proceed through the judicial process.
The allegations remain before the courts, and the suspect is presumed innocent unless and until proven guilty in a court of law.
