AKRAM ALEMA:

"PLU IS A MOVEMENT FOR PATRIOTIC LEADERSHIP"

Oli B – During an interview, LC1 Chairperson aspirant Akram Alema said his decision to contest under the Patriotic League of Uganda (PLU) reflects his commitment to patriotic, accountable, and people-centered leadership.

Alema noted that the Patriotic League of Uganda is chaired by Gen. Muhoozi Kainerugaba, who also serves as the Chief of Defence Forces (CDF) of the Uganda People's Defence Forces (UPDF). He said the movement's message of patriotism, discipline, and national development inspired him to seek public office.

"I am offering myself to serve the people of Oli B with honesty, transparency, and dedication. My vision is to strengthen unity, improve community security, and ensure that local leadership responds effectively to the needs of the people," Alema said.

Campaigning under the slogan "New Vision, New Direction," Alema urged residents to support leaders who are committed to service, accountability, and grassroots development. He expressed confidence that, if elected, he would work closely with the community to address local challenges and promote inclusive development.

The LC1 elections are expected to provide voters with an opportunity to choose leaders based on their vision, character, and commitment to improving the welfare of their communities.
