Jonam MP Reaffirms Commitment to Clean Environment

The Member of Parliament for Jonam County, Hon. Marshall Godfrey Alenyo, has reaffirmed his commitment to promoting environmental cleanliness across the constituency, pledging continued support for initiatives aimed at maintaining high sanitation standards.


Speaking during a community clean-up exercise, Hon. Alenyo emphasized the importance of keeping government institutions, communities, markets, and landing sites clean to safeguard public health and create a healthy environment for residents.


The clean-up campaign brought together local leaders, community members, and volunteers, who participated in collecting waste and clearing public spaces as part of efforts to improve sanitation in Pakwach Town Council.

Residents welcomed the initiative and called on the government to allocate more funding to support regular waste collection, environmental management, and sanitation programmes. They noted that sustained investment is essential to maintaining clean and healthy communities.
