In an unfortunate event, Sarah Adong, the president of the Democratic Party Women's League who's one of the contender for Woman MP Zombo district has involved in a motorcycle accident this afternoon in Mundhel Parish Nyapea Sub-county.

The accident occured along Akwanji-Mundhel road.

It's reported, Adong was on her way to campaign in the area in company of her campaign team including her manager Francis Bolingo.

By press time Bolingo confirmed the unfortunate incident to Zoomer Africa journalist adding that Adong is receiving treatment at Holy family Nyapea hospital in Zombo district.

Paidha Black Angels FC is a Ugandan football (soccer) club founded in 1979, based in Paidha, in the Zombo District. Known for their characteristic black and white colors, they have a notable history, including a promotion to the Uganda Premier League in 2018, although they were relegated the following season. The team plays its home games at Bar Okoro Stadium and is currently (as of June 2024) fighting for promotion back into the FUFA Big League, the second tier of Ugandan football.
