Lenovo T490 14" Overview
Built for serious business professionals, the 14" ThinkPad T490 Laptop from Lenovo is powered by a 1.8 GHz Intel Core i5 Quad-Core processor which allows you to run multiple applications simultaneously.
If you need more power, the system can be overclocked to 4.6 GHz using Intel Turbo Boost 2.0 technology. The 16GB of 2400 MHz DDR4 RAM helps to ensure smooth multitasking and also allows the computer to quickly access frequently used files and programs.
The current memory configuration is one 16GB module that is soldered to the system board. For memory upgrades, there is an empty SO-DIMM slot.
The 14" IPS display features a Full HD 1920 x 1080 resolution, an anti-glare finish, a 16:9 aspect ratio, a contrast ratio of 700:1, a brightness of 250 cd/m2, and viewing angles of 170°. The Intel UHD Graphics 620 chipset delivers a sharp, clear picture. You'll also be able to output video to a max of three external display using the system's HDMI 1.4b and USB Type-C ports, the latter of which supports DisplayPort.
For storage of your files, this ThinkPad T490 is equipped with a 1TB NVMe PCIe M.2 SSD. If you want to add external storage, optical drives, memory card readers, and more, there is one Thunderbolt 3 port, and also supports Power Delivery and DisplayPort, plus one USB 3.1 Gen 1 Type-C port that also supports Power Delivery and DisplayPort. Additional connectivity can be accomplished with two USB 3.1 Gen 1 Type-A ports, one of which doubles as a charging port. Gigabit Ethernet and Wi-Fi 5 (802.11ac) are also built-in for wired and wireless networking, and Bluetooth 5.0 technology will also allow you to connect additional compatible peripherals.
