Just after he was nominated for Padyere county MP race in the morning of Thursday 23rd October 2025, Denis Oryem Olyeko received a good news of his appointment by President Museveni as a the head of campaign of president Museveni for Nebbi district.

Speaking to Zoomer Africa's journalist Olyeko expressed commitment to solicit for votes for president Museveni in Nebbi district for a landslide victory for president Museveni comes January 15th 2026 polls day.

Olyeko is famous in Alur land stretching districts of Nebbi, Zombo and Pakwach. His generosity from supporting community in various areas of community services.

Olyeko is a staunch promoter of the Patriotic League of Uganda (PLU) being headed by the son of President Museveni who doubled as Commander of the Defense Forces (CDF) Lt Gen. Muhoozi Kainarugaba and the National Resistance Movement (NRM) party.

Many people in greater Nebbi continue to send congratulatory messages to Denis Oryem Olyeko upon his appointment especially on the different WhatsApp platform.

Olyeko is battling over four candidates in the Padyere constituency in general elections slated for January 15th 2025 for the period of 2026-2031.

President Museveni will be battling Robert Kyagulanyi Ssentamu aka Bobi Wine of National Unity Platform, Nathan Nandala Mafabi of Forum for Democratic Change, Mugisha Muntu of the Alliance for National Transformation (ANT) and among others.
