FUFA Big League side Paidha Black Angels SC have sealed a strategic sponsorship deal with local entertainment hotspot Chill Out Lounge Paidha.

The memorandum of understanding (MoU) was signed on Friday, February 6, 2026, at the Chill Out Lounge recreational center in Paidha town, with fans in attendance to witness the historic tie-up.

The one-year renewable agreement, described by both parties as a landmark move, aligns with Chill Out Lounge's corporate social responsibility initiatives and aims to supercharge the club's matchday vibe while opening new revenue streams and boosting regional visibility for the venue.

Derick Passy, Communications Director for Chill Out Lounge (a subsidiary of Giant Eagle Sounds & Events Ltd), hailed the partnership as "the biggest milestone between the two entities," crediting it to "the level of engagements we have had, the family spirits that we share and brotherhood."

He added “We all know Paidha Black Angels is a brand name in the entire northern Uganda, you can’t come from northern Uganda and fail to identify with Paidha Black Angels, it’s a club that our grand-fathers were part.”

Hellen Okecho, Managing Director of Chill Out Lounge, emphasized the mutual benefits: "This partnership will boost revenue for both entities," while calling for "continuous spirit of understanding."

For the community-backed club founded in 1979 and funded entirely by fans, supporters, and well-wishers , the deal marks a significant step forward after years without major corporate backing, despite boasting as one of Ugandan football's most enthusiastic and loyal fanbases.

Signing of the MoU

Francis Otwikende Thomas, Paidha Black Angels' Public Relations Officer, called it "a big milestone in the history of the club," committing that "we believe the partnership will continue such that it yields for both of us, we promise to adhere to the terms as the club."

Club Treasurer Sabili Biloyoperi, standing in for the chairperson, expressed delight, noting the deal builds on prior support from Chill Out Lounge during player acquisitions and stressed the need for "continuous cohesion and corporation."

Fans' Chairperson Julius Jacan and club legend Denis Bidongninga urged supporters to pay back by frequenting Chill Out Lounge.

Key Details of the Sponsorship Deal:

Headline Sponsorship: Chill Out Lounge becomes the official sponsor of the Man of the Match award at every Paidha Black Angels home fixture.

The winner receives a branded plaque and UGX 50,000 cash, presented immediately after the final whistle.

The award is now officially titled the Chill Out Lounge Man of the Match, with fan voting conducted via the club's social media channels (including X polls and WhatsApp groups) between the 75th and 80th minutes, finalized at full-time.

Brand Integration: In exchange for sponsorship and free venue access, Paidha Black Angels commit to full branding across digital graphics, matchday line-ups, score updates, social media posters, pitch-side banners (where permitted), promotional flyers, warm-up kits, post-match interviews, press releases, and mandatory tagging/shout-outs.

Weekly collaborator posts and a standing "Visit Chill Out Lounge" call-to-action will feature in celebratory content.

Exclusive Venue Use: The club gains free monthly access to Chill Out Lounge for PBA Theme Nights (fan-engagement or fundraising events), capped at one per calendar month with seven days' notice.

The club covers UGX 200,000 per event for utilities; gate collections go fully to the club, while the lounge retains all bar and food revenue.

Category Exclusivity & Event Clauses:

Paidha Black Angels agree to no partnerships with other bars, lounges, or nightclubs in the West Nile region during the MoU term. 

All official club celebrations, trophy parades (if promotion is achieved), and fan meet-and-greets must take place exclusively at Chill Out Lounge.

The deal includes a mid-season review after six months, with either party able to exit on 30 days' notice for material breach. It operates under Ugandan law, with disputes first handled through negotiation.

The MoU takes immediate effect, positioning both sides for a stronger, more connected 2026 FUFA Big League campaign.

Currently sitting 8th in the FUFA Big League standings, the Zombo-based Blacks are gearing up for the second-leg push, aiming to climb the table and keep promotion dreams alive.
